Christmas and Fatness

Hello all This was a wonderful week full of some good adventures! Got to talk with my wonderfully weird family! 

I have to tell yall about one of the best things that has happened in my mission. So our investigator had an interview to be baptized and we had a member go out with us to do the interview. unfortunatly she didnt pass the interview but she is going good! I was talking with the member though who has been inactive for a while and he told me some pretty sad stuff. He was baptized three years ago. He is married and has a little boy. They are living with his wifes dad who was also inactive and another son who we are preparing to send on a mission. So there are 5 people in their house and only one person is working. He told me that they didnt eat the day before because they just didnt have anything. this was on the 22nd of december. I told the Elder I was with about what he said and we both felt sick eating lunch like pigs thinking about that family. So we put some money together... (Pa and Grandmas christmas money) and we went to the grocery store and spent the money on food, toys, soap, cleaning supplies, tooth brushes and just about everything you could think of! It was the happiest I have ever been while shopping! We got to their house with like 60 sacks of stuff and their faces were in shock. They started crying and asking who gave it to them we just told them it was papai noel #Santa! They still dont know who It was. (Sneaky little Zachy hehe) Now the three of them that were smoking have stopped smoking and they are practicing to share their testimony for this week! I am super happy with this Christmas. It was truly wonderful.

Hey Peeps!

So this week was pretty awesome as all the others! We had a pretty awesome feast with the mission! I took some awesome pics with my mission friends and the mission President! 

Il start yall off with a sad story today. So I recieved some of the saddest news of my mission. My companion was the first to tell me.... I... Elder Zachary Wright... have...Flees...... And not just Flees. They are flees that are attacking my butt. I scartch and I scratch and I scratch and they just KEEP COMING BACK!!! So when yall see that one comercial with the dog scratching the flees... pitty me. I have to get deefleed today. Merry Freaking Christmas!

I am pretty pumped for Christmas this year! I am going to get so much fatter! Everyone here is giving us so much candy haha! Its pretty awesome! 

We got to reactivate a family this week and they made number 9 of the people I have reactivated in this area! We dont hardly baptize here but the reactivation is going super great! haha! We will baptize as soon as these freaks get married!! woohoo! 

Oh and if yall remember in Lion King when poomba and Teemone are eating bugs, and there is that huge rhino beetle... Yup totally saw one this week and I didnt have my camera!! They are huge and my comp said it was small!!

Well Merry Christmas people and remember that Christmas is about Presents and gifts and greed!!!

Black Guys Don't Cry

Hey peeps!!

This was a pretty great week here in Brazil!! My new comp is pretty great! He is funny and accepts racist coments! We are going to do well together! I call him elder slave. He speaks English really well and always says "Hey wait up for the black guy"! Or "Sorry im black" Hahah Im such a bad companion!

We are teaching this less active memeber Maycon! He was hooked on crack, and just about every other type of drug. He was living with a girl, and got her pregnant but she lost the baby. That was him 2 months ago. Now he is clean from all of his addictions, going to church, reading the scriptures, and praying. He had a meeting with the bishop this week and is starting his mission papers... Yup Im happy.

I am loving the work down here and how all the good Catholic people are making it to church for Christmas haha. 

knocked a door two days ago and this lady yelled that there is nobody home... I was like who the crap is talking?? and she said nobody... yup smart people here!!

Also we found a whole flock of one of the most dangerous spiders in our house. Thankfully my loving mother put some OFF bug repelant in my bag. The OFF repelant does absolutely nothing to them... but the Off repelant with a lighter... does wonders!!! Yup almost lit our house on fire but it was so awesome!

Annnnd I will send some racist pics of my comp!!

Good Stories

Hello All! I am super short on time but I have some pretty good stories this week! 

So we have an investigator named Patricia and she has been coming to church and we have been teaching her for about two weeks now. This last week we were at her house but we normally teach her in front of her house because her husband is never home. This last time her husband was home but he was super drunk. He has a drinking problem really bad and he is only 27. She let us into the house because he was sleeping. While we were teaching her he came stumbling out and started yelling Those Mormons!! He then told us how much he loved and hated mormons. He then stumbled into the bathroom and after three minutes he started calling for help! He opened the door and came out wearing some super tight tighty whitys... He then asked me if I wanted to fight because he didnt like that I didnt look at him hahaha! He was like.. You wanna fight with me?! I said no.. He said well then lets go!! He started to come at me and his wife told him that I was american.. He started crying and telling me how much he loved Americans! He just kept saying I love you man over and over and over and over in English! I was like I love ya too bro! He then got down on his knees.... RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. He started saying that I was a beutiful American... Then he grabbed my leg and put his head on my lap and started crying!!! Yup that freaking just happened!! Then to make things so much more fantastic He started rubbing my leg.... Then he sat down on the ground and started crying again. After about 10 minutes he got possessed by a spirit! Then the spirit left and he remembered that I was an American and we took a pic togother. WE are now best buds I guess..

Other story. Walking down the street and what I THOUGHT was flipping cat walking in the grass which turned out to be a 2 1/2 ft Lizard ran at me!! I kept my cool though and threw my companion at that Godzilla! Freak people I was expecting little lizards!

Other story. My beloved companion whome I loved so dearly was transfered..... AMEN.

Thats me folks. dont drink, and dont take Godzilla for grantid... (dont remember how to spell grantid)

Ps. If you send me a package please please please dont put the price above 50 dollars. If it is more I have to take a 4 hour bus ride to get it, pay for it, and then come back another 4 hours. Happened today and It took all my P day haha. But I really do love packaged and letters so dont be afraid to send them!! ( alll you people that arent my mom and Cassie) 

Pizza!

Hey yall! Just thought I would let ya know that I am still alive and kicking! We had exchanges this week and I got to stay will my good buddy Elder Xavier! We had a pretty awesome pizza and Guarana!

We have transfers in 6 days... not that I am counting down or anything! I think I am going to stay in the area. If I stay I will have 6 months in this area!! Thats a lot of time! 

I have gotten to the point that I know everyone I see in the road and I am starting to make contacts 2 or 3 times with the same people.. Its pretty fantastic! 

Everyone here thinks I am from Germany. For example I made a contact with this couple and the (very smart) man said: Hey you are speaking English thats awesome!

Me: Im speaking English?

His wife: No He is speaking German not English.

Me: You guys are understanding what I am saying stupids. DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH OR GERMAN?!! I THINK NOT!!! 

His wife: I think hes mad....

Yup thats my everyday life people. Thank goodness people accept the gospel here because if not it would be some real long days!

Hello friends and family!

This was a pretty good week here in Brazil! We knocked a lot a lot a lot of doors! I say knock but all you do is clap haha! 

So we were knocking doors as we normally do and we got to this one house and started talking to this lady. She told us that she had been praying to know what path was right for her and If God could just do something to show her that he was caring for her. She said when she said amen we knocked her door.... she cried and wants to be baptized... Its real hard to preach the gospel down here in brazil ;)

So thats my week! I feel like I always have so much happen durring the week and when I get to the computer I forget everything!!!

Baptisms

Hello Americanos!

So this week was super super super full of stress! Did you know that preparing for a baptism is a nightmare?! We had two people ready to be baptized. A mom and her son. They passed the interview and all was going super duper and then she called us and asked us THE QUESTION! She said that she had been dating a member (inactive memeber) and two days before he moved into her house and was sleeping on her sons bunk bed!! Freak lady ya cant be baptized with that dude in your house!! We had to call him to repentance and kick him out of her house and then call the mission presidente to talk with her to make sure all was well. Then the were BAPTIZED!! We DUNKED Them!! woohooo that was my wonderful week!! dont do drugs and stuff.
